An Autumn Moodboard

Since it's the 1st of September tomorrow (the day I go back to Hogwarts) I thought I'd share my Autumn moodboard! I usually spend the whole of March-August waiting for Autumn to come again. The first few months will mostly consist of getting back into university work, completely coursework and starting revision. But at least I can do it from the comfort of my couch in my pyjamas!

I love the fashion, the warm colours, the cold days and I actually love being back at university again. It's finally time to settle down with a cosy blanket, a good book and a cup of tea!

My birthday is also in October so I always start to get excited for it around this time. I've already starting making my list!

What would your Autumn moodboard consist of?

The Best Celebrity Female BFFs

Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss
My current favourite celebrity friendship - Taylor and Karlie. After meeting at a Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2013, these two became fast friends and even went on to star on the cover of US Vogue together - absolute friendship goals, right?

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid
Kendall and Gigi are two of the most popular supermodels of the moment right now - but that's not all they have in common. Both models appeared on reality TV shows in their early years, with Jenner on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Hadid on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Perhaps this is why they're such close friends - shared experiences can often help and they're only going to have more in common with their models careers really taking off.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey
No list of BFFs would be complete without these two. Not only are they BFFs, but they're also often colleagues. They've worked on SNL, Means Girls and their new film Sisters to name a few, and even presented the Golden Globes. No ladies know how to support each other like these two do.

Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port
Lauren and Whitney were my original favourite BFFs. I loved watching their relationship develop on The Hills from being interns at Teen Vogue together and working at People's Revolution to becoming best friends. I still cry at the episode where Whitney leaves for New York!.

Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell
Not only are their characters best friends on Pretty Little Liars, but Ashley and Shay are also best friends in real life - don't you love when that happens? Shay has often said that Ashley is like a sister to her and they even go on holiday together!

Ways To Wear: The Cord Pinafore

I'm fully embracing a 70s trend now and I've already picked up a few pieces for A/W, including a cord pinafore. The one above is from Topshop but I actually picked up a very similar one from Primark for a fraction of the price - talk about a bargain! Primark is my go-to place for A/W prep right now so I encourage you all to take a look!

I've thought a lot about how I'll style my cord pinafore for Autumn and this is what I came up with - a breton top (always one of my picks!) and a pair of flat pom-pom shoes. A simple look perfect for cool Autumn days. I'd finish it off my my fedora, some jewellery, a black croc style bag and my sunglasses.

Sharing The Love: A Few Of My Favourite Bloggers

I thought I start a new series on my blog so I can share my favourite bloggers with you all. I think it's so important to share the love in the blogging community, and hopefully introduce you all to some new blogs!

LLYMLRS
Lily's blog was actually what inspired me to start my own, which is why it'll always remain one of my favourites. She definitely has one of the best style blogs and it's been fun to watch her style evolve over the last few years of following. I also really love her travel and lifestyle posts, particularly her festival experiences and her Contiki tours.

Another one of my early favourites, Kate's blog has also evolved over the years. Without a doubt, my favourite posts of hers are the interiors ones! She's helped fuel my copper and marble obsession, and even turned me into a plant lover.

Briar Rose
Megan's blog is a new favourite of mine, after only discovering it a few weeks ago. I fell in love with her unique blog, which features everything from her wedding to her latest cosplays. It's also nice to discover a blogger that loves Disney and even includes items from the Disney Store in her monthly favourites!

Becca Rose
I don't follow a lot of YouTubers but Becca Rose is by far my favourite. Not only does she do absolutely amazing Primark hauls, but she has the cutest pug ever! I find her videos so fun to watch and I always end up buying something from them!

A Small Boots Haul

It's been a while since I've had a proper look in Boots for some skincare products so when I was in the other day I decided to take advantage of my points and pick up a few things. I picked up the L'Oreal Micellar Water, which was on offer at £3.50, as mine had ran out. I also got some Boots own brand facial pore strips which were £4 - I usually buy the Superdrug ones but since I was using my points I decided to just get them in Boots. Finally, I bought some Witch products - a blemish stick (on offer at £1.80), which I constantly buy, and an overnight serum (£3.99 on offer), which helps reduce spots and redness.

Have you used any of these products? What did you think?

Ways To Wear: The Sleeveless Coat (Featuring Kendall Jenner)

Another trend I'm loving at the moment is sleeveless coats. I love that they're so versatile and easy to style! Here are two different ways that I style my sleeveless coat from Topshop:

LOOK ONE

My first look is definitely for the slightly warmer weather and can be a casual daytime look. I love pairing my coat with a nice shirt - preferably a crisp white one, or a patterned one - and light denim ripped jeans. I then finish the look off with a pair of sunglasses, a chunky handbag, and a pair of skater shoes.

LOOK TWO

This second look is how I plan to wear my coat in the colder months to come, with a little inspiration from Kendall Jenner. The coat is quite thick and would definitely keep me warm when paired with a wooly jumper! I'd finish the look with leather-look trousers, chelsea boots, and my trusty fedora.

What I've Been Reading Lately #3

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
I never used to really like YA books - but this completely changed my opinion. I can't begin to describe how much I love this book! Anna and the French Kiss centres around a boarding school in Paris, specifically for American children. Anna's father sends her there for her final year and we get to follow her as she makes new friends and falls in love with the most popular boy in school, Etienne St. Clair. I originally only read this book because it was based in Paris but I fell in love with it for other reasons. Anna and Etienne's relationship is just so lovely! Stephanie Perkins followed the book up with two companion novels - centred around new characters but still featuring others from the original novel - which are just as amazing as Anna and the French Kiss. I loved Isla and the Happily Ever After, it made me cry at the end!

Beyond The Kingdoms (The Land of Stories #4) by Chris Colfer

The Land of Stories is one of my favourite series so I was so excited when Beyond The Kingdoms was finally released. Starting where the last novel left off, we follow Alex, Connor and their friends as they chase the Masked Man and follow him through some childhood favourite books such as Alice In Wonderland and Peter Pan. In a way, I think this was Chris Colfer's best book so far. I really enjoyed being introduced to new worlds such as Neverland and meeting new characters from some of my favourite stories. It also ended on a massive cliffhanger so I'm now eagerly awaiting the next instalment!

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) by Rick Riordan
When I was younger I really only cared about Harry Potter so I never read other book series, I'm annoyed it's taken me so long to read this! Percy Jackson is just an ordinary boy - until he discovers that he's the son of a Greek God. The novel follows him and his friends on their quest to save the world from a war between Zeus and his brothers. I really enjoyed this book - it was easy to read and I liked how there wasn't much build up. We were straight into the action which was fun. I've also always been interested in mythology so it's nice to be able to learn about it on the way along. I've already picked up the second and third books in this series so I can't wait to start them!

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
I had never seen any of the movies before I read this book so I wasn't really sure what to expect but it's become one of my all time favourites! Obviously, it centres around Jurassic Park - an amusement park where the main attraction is genetically engineered dinosaurs. However, disaster strikes when the power cuts out and the dinosaurs try to take over the park. I loved learning about the different types of dinosaurs and how they managed to create them again! The book had really short chapters, which only made me want to keep reading. From the last 50-100 pages I was so tense reading it as I had no idea what was going to happen - I'd definitely recommend it!

Have you read any of these books? What did you think?

A Book Haul

After being on a self-imposed book buying ban for the past few months (purely because I had so many on my shelves that I hadn't read!), I've managed to buy 8 books in the last 2 weeks.

I ordered Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins on Amazon. Percy Jackson and The Great Gatsby only cost £5.50 all together so I didn't feel too bad about buying these three, especially as I'd just been paid! I don't know why it's taken me so long to start the Percy Jackson series but I'm really enjoying it so far.

I then bought Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton in Tesco for £4. I've wanted to read this for ages so I couldn't resist when it was so cheap. I haven't seen any of the films yet so I'm excited to get into it.

It's a tradition for me to buy a couple of new books when I'm on holiday so I picked up The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett (£6.99) from a new bookshop in St. Andrews called Topping and Company. I then bought Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins (£6.99) from Waterstones, which I can't wait to read since it's the last in the series!

Finally, I popped into Tesco when I got back from my weekend away and got a few books in their 2 for £7 offer. I got Landline by Rainbow Rowell, which will be my 3rd book of hers. I also picked up Sparkling Stilettos by Jess Wright of TOWIE fame - don't judge, it sounds like a really good chick flick!

Have you read any of these books? What did you think?

Pretty Little Liars Finale Tag

I've been obsessed with Pretty Little Liars for 5 years and tomorrow is finally the day we get some answers. In celebration of this wonderful day, I thought I'd do the PLL tag - I made it up from a few different ones I've seen around so feel free to do it on your own blog/change it to suit yourself. Obviously this has been completed before the finale so it's purely my own speculation (aided by reading theories for hours at a time!)

Who is your favourite character?

I always find this so hard to answer. Right now I love Hanna and Caleb, but other favourites include Mona, Spencer and Jason. I also really liked Wilden but I was the only person that did! I used to really like Toby but I think they've kind of ruined his character a bit.

Who's your least favourite character?
Out of the girls I like Emily the least purely because I don't think she's been given good enough story lines. I've never really liked Paige either!

Who's been your favourite member of the A team so far?
Mona was my favourite! I found her reveal quite shocking, and she's actually one of my favourite characters from the whole show. I love her character development - geeky, popular, A, unstable and back to geeky. Her storylines have been brilliant (I absolutely knew they hadn't killed her off!) and I can't wait to see what's next for her.

What do you think has been the most shocking moment so far?
I think Melissa confession video was quite shocking but I think the most shocking has been the season 5 finale when the liars tried to escape and the dollhouse was in the middle of a forest!

What's the most elaborate theory that you've read?
I've read so many over the years but the most ridiculous one I've read is the Jessica Dilaurentis is the character with the twin. Jessica's twin had her own child, which turned out to be Charles.

Who would surprise you most if they were revealed as A?
I think I'd be surprised if it was Ezra, Toby or Caleb. This is purely because none of them look like a Dilaurentis and they've all had their past and secrets revealed to the girls - so it wouldn't make sense for them to be Charles/A.

Who would disappoint you most if they were revealed as A?
Andrew Campbell! I feel like they've already used him as a diversion, and it would just be boring if it turned out that he was A/Charles. Although he was adopted so it is a possibility...

Who is Red Coat?
I really hope it's still Cece - I loved her! I'm not sure though since she's previously been Red Coat. I'd like to think it could be Sara as well - we don't really know if she was in the doll's house for the whole time she was missing. I think it would be interesting if she was actually working for A - and Red Coat turned up when she left Rosewood again!

Who is Black Widow?
If I didn't think Jessica was really dead I would say her but I'm going to go with Melissa. Especially because Ali had a thing with Ian and she'd want her revenge.

Who killed Bethany?
I definitely think A killed Bethany thinking it was Alison.

Who killed Marion?
This is a hard one but I think it might have actually been Bethany.

Who is A?
I'm so ready for it to be Wren. I've read so many theories about it being Wren and I honestly think he's the best fit. Especially because A stole the game from Mona and he turned up at Radley when she was admitted. A lot of people think he's too obvious a choice, but I think that's only because we've all been looking for clues. To the casual viewer I think he'd definitely be a shocking A, particularly because he's not been seen since season 4.

So there we have it, my predictions for the finale. Do you watch Pretty Little Liars? What do you think of my predictions?
