Get Her Look: Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner is my absolute style crush right now. I feel like she can do no wrong, whether she's at an event or just out with her fellow model friends like Gigi Hadid, I find myself lusting after everything she's wearing. She may be a self proclaimed 'tomboy' but that doesn't stop her from putting together some seriously stylish looks. Today I thought I'd show you how to get her look.

LOOK ONE

Look one is the perfect casual Summer look. Throw on a striped tee and some blue jeans for a relaxed feel. To make it more edgy, add some cut-out boots and put a leather jacket on top.

LOOK TWO
Look two is perfect for the colder weather. I'm obsessed with these blue suede boots (insert Elvis song here)! The ones pictured are from ASOS and are just £45 if anyone is wondering. To make the boots the stand out part of your outfit it's best to wear mostly black. Pair the boots with black jeans and a black winter coat, with a nice satchel bag to accessorise.

What do you think of Kendall Jenner's style? And what's your favourite look?

NYFW: Favourite Celebrity Looks

The Kardashian/Jenners, Kylie Jenner, Bella Thorne & Kylie Jenner, Bella Thorne, North West & Kendall Jenner

Jamie Bell, Olivia Wilde, Camilla Bell, Jamie Bell, Sofia Coppola

Jourdan Dunn, Gigi Hadid, Gigi Hadid & Joe Jonas, Lily Aldridge, Jourdan Dunn, Alexa Chung, Alexa Chung, Emily Ratajkowski

I'm a huge fan of fashion week and if there's something I love more than weeping over beautiful collections from my favourite designers, it's checking out who's wearing what on the FROW. I tend to get a lot of inspiration from how celebrities are wearing things, along with street style, so I'm always on high alert around fashion week for some extra special looks!

My personal favourites from NYFW are definitely the Kardashian/Jenners - they literally define the phrase 'squad goals'. They manage to pull off looks that only they could get away with, and while they get some criticism for it, I personally love it! Another favourite of mine was definitely Emily Ratajkowski - just look at that beautiful suede jacket, it's what dreams are made of.

I've never paid particularly attention to Camilla Belle (apart from when I was 13 and she was dating Joe Jonas) but I thought her patterned dress at the Michael Kors event was really striking and flattering. There's always a lot of black and muted tones at fashion week so it's fun to see someone inject a bit of colour!

Dream House: Bedroom & Wardrobe

Today I'm sharing some dream bedroom and wardrobe inspiration! My dream bedroom would have a huge, cosy bed and feature lots of greys, pastels and metallics - pretty much my room right now. I'd also love white floorboards as its just not a possibility in my room just now.

Of course, every girl dreams of a walk-in wardrobe - I've wanted one for as long as I can remember. However if it's not a possibility I'd still be happy with one that's built into the walls and has lots of spaces for organisation - like the Ikea Pax ones! I also really want a clothes rail to feature new-in clothes or my favourite pieces for the season.

What would your dream bedroom and wardrobe look like?

The Suede Trend

Suede is taking over pretty much everyone's lives right now. The suede a-line skirt was a staple for Summer style and it looks like suede will be everywhere is A/W. It's a trend that's definitely grown on me and I can't wait to pick up some more pieces this A/W. You can literally buy any item in suede right now - jackets, vests, skirts, bags, tops, boots... The list goes on and on.

How will you be wearing the suede trend?

The Ultimate Designer Bag Wishlist

I'm a huge fan of designers - particularly the accessories. As a poor student I obviously can't afford any designer bags but it doesn't stop me from wishing after them so I put together a little moodboard/wishlist of my top picks. I've always wanted a Chanel bag for as long as I can remember - I blame watching too many repeats of The Hills! A few other favourites include every Celine bag ever made, the Mulberry Lily and, of course, the Chloe Drew.

When I eventually start my collection, I'll probably start at the cheaper end and purchase either a Mulberry, Phillip Lim or Sophie Hulme bag - just working my way up to those Celines and Chanels!

Do you own any designer handbags? Which ones are you wishing for?

Dream House: Bathroom & Kitchen

I thought I'd do a new series of posts all about my dream house! I spend way too much time on Pinterest, lusting over pretty houses so it's about time I shared them with you.

For the bathroom, I'd love to have a free-standing bath. I always think they look to luxurious and posh! I'd also go with a black and white theme, with a pastel shade to add some brightness.

For the kitchen, I'd follow the same idea. I love the pairing of bright whites with pastel pink and mint. We're actually getting our kitchen decorated just now and I think that's the palette we're leaning towards. All I want in life is a pink Smeg fridge.

What would your dream bathroom and kitchen be like?

My Go-To Monochrome Look

Today I thought I'd share my favourite go-to monochrome look! Like most bloggers, I love striped tops so I obviously had to feature one in this post. This one is actually from Primark and cost £7 (see it in my haul) - I love the lightweight material and the baggy feel! I pair my striped top with black jeans and converse, and accessorise with my RayBans and Vivienne Westwood purse.

I really love this simple and easy look, especially when going to university and sitting in lectures all day!

I hope you enjoyed this insight into my personal style - I really wish I could share outfit photos with you all but I don't have a proper camera to take them on or anyone to take them for me, so this will have to do for now!

What's your go-to monochrome look?

What I've Been Watching Recently #1

It's no secret that I watch a lot of TV and films - my nights are normally dedicated to relaxing in front of my TV with Pascal sleeping beside me! I thought I'd share what I've been loving recently:

Wet Hot American Summer
When this was advertised on Netflix I wasn't that interested in it - but when I realised just how star studded the cast was (Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd & Bradley Cooper!) I decided to give it a shot. I hadn't seen the film so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. It is without a doubt, one of the weirdest, funniest things I've ever watched. The style and humour kind of reminded me of a mix between Community and Parks and Recreation which can only be a good thing. Michael Showalter completely stole the show as Coop and Ronald Reagan. I also loved Chris Pine as Eric! I really hope they make a second season but 8 episodes was just not enough - definitely one of my favourite shows now!

If you love this you'll love: Parks and Recreation, Community

Jurassic Park
After reading the novel, I thought it was finally time I watched the film. Although I loved it, I didn't enjoy it as much as the book. There was quite a few characters left out, and not all the deaths were the same. The ending was also different - instead of destroying the park and killing the dinosaurs they just left it all behind! However, I did like that Lex was the one that was smart with computers and managed to get the power back on. In the book she was had no clue what to do about anything!

If you love this you'll love: (I have no clue for this one, but probably Star Wars or something? Idk)

Suits
I started watching Suits back in January and I was very quickly hooked on it. I'd completely forgotten that season 5 started in June so I was happy to see that it's already on in the UK! I love following the lives of Harvey and Mike and I've always enjoyed a good law tv show.

If you love this you'll love: How To Get Away With Murder, The Good Wife

The Great British Bake Off
This is without a doubt my favourite reality TV show - I have a slight obsession with Mary Berry and I love Paul Hollywood's dry comments! Who knew a show about baking would be so good?! Honestly, there's nothing more tense than watching someone make an ice-cream cake, only to discover the ice-cream is too big (I'm looking at you Alvin!)

If you love this you'll love: Cake Boss - The Next Great Baker

What have you been watching recently?

P.S. Hope you all enjoy my reflection in my iPad screen.

Ways To Wear: The Wool Coat

Today I'm showing you how I would style this grey wool coat from Primark. I have a similar coat to this in a camel shade (also from Primark) but I'm seriously considering picking up the grey one after doing this post!

LOOK ONE
This look definitely has a more relaxed feel to it. I'd pair the coat with a cute t-shirt, like this lovely french bulldog one, and some light blue denim jeans. I'd accessorise it with some nice round sunglasses, a fluffy bag and a pair of Vans!

 LOOK TWO
This look is the perfect Winter office outfit for me! I love the chunky knit jumper and the boucle skirt combination - how cute is the lace detail? No mini skirt look is complete without a pair of patent loafers these days and a nice big shopper bag!

Which look do you prefer?

An ASOS Wishlist

I'll admit it - I've only ever purchased two or three things from ASOS in my life. Pretty awful, right? I think the sheer volume of clothes was always overwhelming to me, and I could never be bothered to go through every category to find something to buy. But curiosity got the better of me and I was jealous of everyone else's great finds - it also doesn't help that I follow at least 10 ASOS stylists on Instagram. I went through ASOS, built up a huge wishlist and now I'm patiently waiting for my student loan to come in so I can treat myself.

My favourite items are the black a-line suede skirt and the textured chelsea boots - I think they'd look lovely paired together for A/W! I also love the paisley blouse, which is something I've wanted for ages, and the 'blogging > jogging' t-shirt.

Will you be picking up any of these items? What do you think of my wishlist?

My Blogging Essentials

I'm sure these posts have been done to the death but I thought I'd share my blogging essentials today! They include:

  • Blogging notebook
  • Cute stationary
  • iPhone
  • A white background
  • MacBook

So it turns out I don't actually need a lot to blog! I don't have a professional camera for pictures so I just make do with my iPhone or iPad and I think they come out pretty good. My blogging notebook contains all my ideas for posts and what's to be written for each month and I keep a spreadsheet on my MacBook to help with scheduling.

What are your blogging essentials?

An August Primark Haul

Although it's now September, I spent a lot of my August in Primark. They've started bringing in their A/W ranges and I ended up buying quite a few things! I'm obsessed with A/W fashion - I love the darker shades and piling up the layers to keep warm!

To embrace the 70's trend I picked up a tan suede skirt for just £10! I actually posted about how I'm styling it if you're interested. I also bought a berry cord pinafore at £13. I've wanted a new pinafore for a while now but wasn't sure what to go for - when I saw this one for so cheap I knew I had to have it! I actually spotted a very similar one in Topshop for £39 so I'd definitely pick up the Primark one if you're wanting one.

I then saw a tan/camel coloured jumper which I just had to have - I'm really loving camel/tan shades right now so I'm sure I'd pick up anything! Again this was around the £12 mark and features a white blouse collar underneath. Perfect for a cool Autumn day! And I couldn't leave Primark without picking up a new striped top (only £7).

I also picked up two new coats as well which aren't shown here. I got this black parka coat for travelling to uni when it's really horrible outside. I also got a camel (again!) coat similar to this style. Both coats were £25.

Have you picked up anything from Primark recently? I'd love to see your hauls!
