A couple of weeks ago one of my mum's cousins came over from Australia to visit everyone, so we had a few days planned out for him. We decided to go to the Kelpie Tour in Falkirk and it did not disappoint! I'm a bit of a history nerd so I was quite excited to go. The tour was around £7 and lasted 45 minutes. We got to learn some history about the Clydesdale horses, and about Duke and Barren - the two horses that the structures are based on. We even got to go inside one of the sculptures, which made paying for the tour really worth it! There's something really amazing about these sculptures, especially when you're looking up inside of it. I would really recommend this to everyone!
The only downside is that the visitor's centre hasn't opened yet, so there's only a small cafe to get a coffee or something to eat, and a temporary gift shop, but it has made me want to return when the whole park is complete!
What do you think of the Kelpies? Is it something you're interested in seeing?
